BIOGRAPHY
With Anglo-French parents, Singapore is home for Louisa Middleditch, having been born and bred there. She attended the International French School of Singapore, where she also learnt Spanish and Mandarin. She has just graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a first class degree in Applied Sports Science. Louisa has a younger sister, Emma, and a dog, Ubi.
Inspired by her dad, Louisa started triathlon at a young age, and it has been her focus ever since. She proudly represents Singapore, and has achieved international success, including multiple world age-group titles. She now races elite full time and recently won the bronze medal at the 2023 SEA Games. Louisa also enjoys a variety of other sports, such as rock climbing, hiking, and cross-country skiing - she even won the age-group world winter duathlon championships in 2022.
Outside of triathlon, Louisa has always had a passion for reading and writing in both English and French. She has published 5 books, and writes articles on a freelance basis for sports magazines.
Louisa also does a lot of volunteer work and received the Edinburgh Award for Volunteering and the Edinburgh Award for Sports Union Volunteers. In 2019, she took part in the Charity "Race 2 Paris" - hitchhiking from Edinburgh to Paris - to raise money for Amnesty International.
